Under the direction of Tom Crawford, the Orchestra traces it's roots back as far as 1980 when the then choir director, Jim Brumme, needed an orchestra for special events. Eventually this led to establishing a regular orchestra.
Dennis O'Neil later took the helm and conducted the orchestra until 2001, overseeing great growth in both personnel and a music library (part of which he composed himself).
Today, the orchestra is composed of nearly forty regular members in all sections, adding a few in key areas for special events such as Festival of Carols and Easter Celebrations.
The orchestra has grown professionally and musically over the years and, as far as we can tell, is the only church orchestra still in existance in the Tucson area.
